The Office of Research Affairs, through its Research Alliance Program, connects international researchers with researchers and resources at Loma Linda University Health.

Global Research is facilitated by:
- Promoting collaborative research between LLUH and its sister institutions around the world – including, Universities, medical schools, and healthcare institutions.
- Providing customer service and training for researchers interested in global collaborative research.
- Engages in capacity building.
- Engages in quality research that will result in publications according to NIH standards.
- Establishes a global cohort.
- Provides funding support through the GRASP International Award
The Grants for Research and School Partnerships International (GRASP-Intl) program has been created to allow LLU faculty to partner with professionals who have post-baccalaureate degrees and are employed by international SDA hospitals, medical centers, colleges or universities. The purpose of this funding mechanism is to create and foster collaborations by providing financial support for pairs of investigators to cooperate in pioneering research projects. The GRASP-Intl awards will nurture collaborative partnerships and equip researchers to successfully compete for major grants from external sponsors.
