Institution Description:
Established in 1950 Jengre has an active medical and evangelical outreach program including outdoor meetings several times a year with Bible, health talks, music, and also a service for the patients on Sabbath mornings geared mostly to the Fulani Muslims with Bible parables and prayers adapted from the Koran. As a bush hospital, it serves primarily a farming population of patients who are too poor to go elsewhere. Since 2002, the hospital is now operated and managed by Adventist Health International.
